Parents urged to get free sugar app to check products

Public Health England is urging parents to sign up to its free “sugar smart app”, which scans barcodes to reveal sugar content of food and drink, as reported on BBC News. Officials hope it will help combat tooth decay, obesity and type two diabetes and encourage families to choose healthier alternatives.
